What we offer

Sports & Fitness

At Brian’s T.E.A.M. we want each player to move towards independence.  Our focus is to break down the fundamental steps and skills involved in gymnastics, baseball, football, soccer, and basketball in order to move our players towards the potential to one day participate either in a team sport in their own community, or to have the opportunity to play with family and peers in their own backyard.

In addition to sports, we want our players to engage in fitness! Our goal is for each player to learn to move through a circuit of exercise equipment by following an activity schedule, so that they can one day go the health club with family and friends!

Parents will be given the option of small group class sizes or direct individual instruction (upon request and if scheduling allows).  Brian’s T.E.A.M. will work collaboratively with parents to maximize each player’s T.E.A.M. experience.  When appropriate, parents may have the option to incorporate both fitness and speech therapy to maximize the parents’ downtime and eliminate travel between services.

Instruction in all disciplines will be reinforced with parent-consultation time to facilitate generalization of skills with parents, siblings, and peers in the home environment. In all disciplines (individual and small group), players will be offered an informal evaluation to baseline skill areas. Instructors will customize programs by targeting short-term objectives. Progress will be measured in a post-test format to determine progress and future programming needs.

Want the best of both worlds?

Some of the greatest opportunities for communication are in functional settings when motivation is high. What better time to motivate your child to communicate than when they’re moving and playing? Ask us about our classes that offer a combination of sports, fitness, & speech therapy.
